Spring Fling and Prayers.

Wednesday, March 28, 2012

I love my girlfriends
15 years and going strong
dinner once a month
restaurants, painting, tea room, beach
or just someones house
this time....
my house
Menu included:
Soup, Salad, Garlic Toast
Chocolate Chip Cookies and Oreo Cheesecake Cupcakes
Homemade Sangria
We had a wonderful dinner
After we prayed over my sweet friend Karen who is having surgery today
breast cancer
will you please keep her in your prayers.
She's a good friend and even better mama.

Table - before I finished setting it though.
Setting up the dessert bar - and glasses for sangria.
(sangria was a pinterest recipe and it was yummy)

My sweet friend Tracy - always smiling.
Another sweet friend - Barb!  Love her.
These Oreo cheesecake cupcakes were the BOMB.
Seriously look them up on Pinterest - you will be glad you did!

 Kelly and Pam

The group - minus a few.

Place settings - little potted plants for everyone to take home.

 A little spring decorating.

More spring decorating
Loving all things yellow this year!

In conclusion, be strong in the Lord; draw your strength from Him.

This is one of my favorites
Easy and Yummy

Greek Chicken Salad

Ingredients:
Romaine Lettuce
Tomatoes
Cucumbers
Green Peppers
Greek Peperoncini's
Feta Cheese
Potato Salad
Chicken

Prepare:
I buy Publix "Red" potato salad (in the deli section)
I bake chicken breast marinated in Viva Italian Dressing

Put the potato salad in the bottom of the salad bowl
Next layer with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, peperoncini's.
Cut up the chicken breast and lay on top
Next, sprinkle with Feta Cheese

Right before serving pour the dressing and let it saturate through the bottom of bowl.
This is the ONLY dressing I recommend.

I hope you like it :)

Linking Up to Spring

Wednesday, March 21, 2012

Springtime make me want to conquer the world.
Having a total obsession with Pinterest make me want to:
*  Cook light beautiful meals for my family
*Clean and organize every closet in the house
*Bake cobblers and drink lemonade
* Lose 20 pounds and wear every pastel item on my "fashion board"
*Plant veggies, herbs and flowers
*Host a spring fling

So, I started by planting a herb basket;
consisting of:
Cilantro, Lemon Balm, Basil and Pineapple Sage
I would highly recommend the Lemon Balm
Put fresh leaves in my mango iced tea (crystal light)
and it totally rocked.

Had an awesome visit to my favorite produce stand last week
will post some pics later
of my meals
from pinterest

The season of renewal and rebirth is upon us.  Like a newborn baby, this season brings with it the sweetness of new beginnings and endless possibilities.

Come and see what God has done, how awesome his works in man's behalf!
