Giving Thanks and Catching Up

Sunday, November 25, 2012

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  We hosted the day for my side of the family.  My mom and sister did most of the cooking.  I am so grateful for them.  After a late lunch, I snuck in a power nap to gear up for midnight shopping.  My sister and I hit the road about 10 p.m. - headed to the outlet mall as we have done for the last 5 years - we have a ball.  Friday morning we headed out to breakfast with my parents - just the original 4 of us.  We did a little shopping with my mom and then headed home to get ready to watch Savannah cheer on her football team in the Regional Playoffs.  They played a good game but we lost 10-7.  To top off the night, Savannah hurt her foot - thankfully only a bruised bone so she should heal quickly.  Yesterday and today was spent putting away the fall decor and bringing out the Christmas goods - I love decorating for the holidays.

Here are a few pics of the last month around the Slowey house.

My Aunt Pat and cousin Jackie visited us from NC.  Jackie is still going through chemo treatments - she has had a rough battle with Breast Cancer so we were so thankful for our time with them.  Please keep her in your prayers.  The above pic is my cousin and myself at dinner.  Below is my cousin and aunts at lunch.

During their visit we went to dinner with my mom and her 4 sisters - We call them the Golden Girls - aren't they adorable?

Here is a sweet IG friend, Katie that I met in REAL LIFE.  She is the cutest thing ever - and her items are so cute - you should check out her ETSY store

Here are a few pics from Thanksgiving day.

The Original 4 at Breakfast - Black Friday

This little guy jumped in my shopping cart during Black Friday shopping at Target -
 I'm sure glad he did.

Thankful that Robert was home for Thanksgiving and could watch Sav cheer her team on.

Here's my sweet girl at the After Hours Emergency Clinic.

I LOVE Nativity Scenes.  I have about 5 around my house.

My dining room table looks like a tree farm.  My sweet dad made some of these cute trees.

A favorite print I purchased last year - I still love it!

Here are a few pics from today - had to hurry and get some taken for Christmas cards because my sweet guy had to go back to college this afternoon - boo!

They were cracking up because I wanted to use the Gator for my pic - they voted no!
Dad jumped in a pic but I don't think he will make the Christmas Card cut :)

Playing around on the monkey bars - I just love these kids!

So, after several weeks of NOT sticking to my #operationzipthosepants, I'm back on it until the first Christmas Party next weekend ;)
Happy Holiday Season Blogger Friends.

(Sorry for some of the not so quality photos - I use my phone camera way to much these days)
