My friend Donna and I consider ourselves coffee/tea connoisseurs. We love spending our lunch hour visiting coffee/tea shops rather than actual lunch. I mean who doesn't like a pick me up at lunch time? Finding a quaint spot and having a coffee/tea and a small treat, cheese, and crackers, etc. is our favorite.
We have not found one yet that we will not return.
Here are a few of our favorites - and more will follow shortly:
1. Ginger Beard Coffee, Channelside
2. The Bunker - Ybor
3. Blind Tiger - Ybor
4. TeaBella - Davis Island
5. Intermezzo Coffee and Cocktails - St. Pete
Ginger Beard Coffee located in Channelside - we had yummy donuts from Datz in Tampa and Donna had coffee, and I had an iced tea. - The place is adorable, the guy who served us was so personable, and we will certainly return.
The Bunker Ybor is one of our favorites that we frequent weekly. They have an amazing assortment of coffee and tea as well as a small menu. My favorite lunch is the Bunker signature salad. Mixed greens, goat cheese (my favorite), almonds, cranberries and creamy Italian dressing.
Blind Tiger Ybor is simply adorable. Great coffee and teas and a great assortment of macaroons, cookies, pastries. Small gift area with the cutest arrangements of succulents. This is another place we visit weekly.
TeaBella - David Island. The best tea ever. They have so many teas; it's seriously hard to pick a favorite. Donna is a Jamaican Ruby red girl and my go to is Mango Melange. The girls are so friendly, and the gift shop is adorable. They have a "punch card" where you earn rewards for free tea. Cannot say enough good about this place.

Intermezzo Coffee - St. Pete. We have only visited once as it was quite a drive, but I must say it was awesome. The employees were so friendly, and the customers sitting at the bar were called by name. Apparently a great spot for the locals. The tea was brewed perfectly. A bonus was the restaurant Bodega on Central across the street. We were lucky to grab the last two seats at the bar. It was incredible to watch them create their fresh squeezed drinks. They have so many varieties of veggie and fruit drinks. The food was fantastic, and I'm voting they open in Tampa!

Nothing makes visiting these places as much fun as with Donna - we never go anywhere she's not complimented for her red hair. She is an absolute blast and makes the coffee/tea so much better as she thoroughly enjoys our visits.
More to follow.....
